"Yes we shall," Octavis gently pushed Aishi towards the door and followed behind the shorter demon.
They left the safety of the Inn and were on there way towards the Dominion of Demons.

Vashta was walking beside the two demons.
"So Aishi, has Octavis told you much about the Brotherhood of Defenders?"

Aishi looked up at Vashta. "No he hasn't. Who are they?"

"We're a race," explained Vashta. "A highly psychic race of shape-shifters with unusual abilities." She smiled and explained futher.
"Can't tell you how fast I am, don't know exactly. But I can give you an idea. I had a battle about a month ago that went so easily I didn't even realise it registered battle until the Brotherhood called me in to report. I ended up in a room with my charge and 5 gunmen. First one got nervous, started shooting - he's dead. Gave my charge the gun, that's the next two, dead. Third pulled a flick blade and got it inbetween his eyes in under a second. Last two killed me and died of their injuries." She paused to let this sink in - for both demons - before she continued.

Octavis raised his eyebrows. "Impressive," he said with a small nod.
Aishi just looked up in wonderment. "What else can you do?"

"Fly? With the wing form? Or can you do it without wings?" Aishi asked.
Octavis smiled glad that the little one was taking an interest.

"I can fly with both - a few more of my various forms have wings - but it's easier to fly with wings. The catch of the air and so on. I prefer it. Mostly, it's mind power."

"Yes, among others. All the Brotherhood are psychically connected. I'm also connected to my charge or charges - that's you two - to know where you are and what you're doing. Well, not really - you know how your brain takes a picture from each eye and puts them together to make a 3D image? Well, my mind takes in roughly where you are and if you're in danger."
She looked into Aishi's eyes and spoke into his mind.
Like this she whispered.

Aishi jumped at the sound in his head. "That's freaky," he said softly. Octavis chuckled having already experienced it himself. Although he did admit to himself that it was as strange as it could have been.

Vashta smiled. "Children of the Brotherhood begin schooling in the Academy aged 8. Not all the Brotherhood end up defenders - people are needed to run things back home," she said, explaining this to both demons as they wouldn't know this bit.
