"No entirely, it's strange. It's like you but not like you. Like your scent was when I first tracked you down. What is with all the questions? I'm hungry!"

"Fine," said Hannah and floored the accelerator with a grin. She flipped the wheel smoothly, screeching them into the hospital carpark at over a hundred mph.

"You have better skills at the wheel than I can say for other human drivers. I alsmost lost my tail once because of an idiot."

"Thank you," said Hannah with a smile. "I've had experience."

"I guessed. Either that or you are extremely stupid. I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt," Kretalla said unstrapping herself and getting out of the car.

"I drove both ambulances and getaway vehicles," Hannah grinned, locking the car. "Follow me and stay quiet."

Kretalla frowned and followed Hannah. She didn't like being told want to do by silly humans. She rolled her eyes and hoped dinner was soon. Shifting used up engery and she would need a lot when tracking down this annoying Fire Ell Menter and his Guardian.

Hannah swiped her ID card through a slot next to the door and the lights flickered from red to green. "Come through - hurry."
A guard approached them. "Excuse me, who are - " Hannah spun around. "Oh, Doctor Jackman, I'm sorry."
"Go on ahead, Jack. Nothing to see here." He obeyed instantly.

Kretalla followed her tail swishing behind her. Her ears twitched at the sounds from the upper rooms of the Hospital. She smirked wickedly. There was so much rotting flesh and decay she could smell her mouth watered at the thought for a very good meal. Maybe she could convince Hannah that it was better for Kretalla to have two humans. For the journey and all that.

Hannah turned inquiringly to Kretalla as they strode down the long hallway. "Why did he not notice your tail? And the ears?"

Kretalla shurgged. "Some humans don't like to admit to themselves that Cremals live in their precious towns. So they ignore us and hope we don't choose them as dinner."

"That can't be true. If I didn't like it, how would I know? I'd never heard of a Cremal before tonight."

Kretalla looked to Hannah with a dead pan look. "Well that just means your stupid and too involved in your own personal life to really look about you. There are more Cremals living in human lands than you think. Your kind are lovely to eat, all juicy and yummy," Kretalla smirked and walked closer to Hannah's ear so she could practically whisper into it. "And when you scream in fear knowing that there's nothing you can do to stop us, it's like what you say 'the icing on the cake'."

Hannah spun towards Kretalla, lifting her hand as she did, so her hand plus momentum slapped Kretalla's face. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" she shouted. She'd had enough of this.

The force of the hit swung Kretalla's head round, her sharp canine cutting into her lip in the process. Kretalla smirked and wiped the blood with the back of her hand. "Your kind are so amusing. I love the smell of fear. I'm like an addict, your kind have, that sniff that powder stuff."
