Name of race: Demonic Clans
Rarity: Varying
In the beginning there was one Demonic clan. Over the many centuries this clan broke apart because they all did things differently. Wars broke out and it was divided into five demonic clans. Each clan had evolved their own distinguishing marks and abilities.
The first other clan was the Cubus Clan. The males are called Incubus and females are called Succubus. It all started when a demon named 'Atrill' believed that the demonic race was far superior to mankind in everything. The captured humans and kept them as slaves to there wishes. Many other demons shared Atrill's view and joined him. The other demons didn't like this way of living and kicked Atrill and his group out of the clan. Atrill started his own clan but there wasn't very much governance over his people. Incubus and Succubus attacked and captured humans whenever they felt like it. It was because of the slavery that this clan grew so fast. Incubus and Succubus's bred with the human creating half-demons. This went on for generation meaning that the magical power they had at first had all but disappeared after the fifth generation. The Cubus Clan is the most common of all the Demonic Clans. This Clan of Demons have at least one of three distinguishing marks: horns, a tail or wings (either coming from there back or above there ears.) They look very much like normal demon only that they have a powerful hatred for humans.
The second clan to be formed was the Nightshades. This clan was originally a cult in the Demonic Clan, but over the many generations there bodies and way of living has changed. This cult original aim was to feed on humans. Most of the cult had one thing in common, they liked to see others in pain. Humans were there favourite target, especially females as they generally screamed more. A group for the cult would go out at night and attack and bring back a victim. They would spend the whole night torturing the being and only when the light came up in the early morning would they all drink the blood of there victim and cook the meat and eat it. Because of what the cult did in the beginning over the many years of doing this the cult became it's own clan and all the member became very sensitive to sunlight. If they step outside into the light there body starts to burn and would turn to ash. Also their teeth changed for the food they ate so the only food that the Nightshades can eat is the blood and raw meat of a human or other demons. Humans have a name for this group which is 'Vampires', Nightshades hate this name so being should be warily who they call a Vampire. There are a few distinguishing marks of a vampire: pointed ear's, very pale skin, sharp pointed teeth (either all or just the two canine teeth) also there eyes are either grey, pale blue, white or red (very old Nightshades have these). Nightshades still have some of the magic they had originally so after at least 400 years they can slip to and from places through the shadows and can also fly. This clan is the second most common.
The third most common clan is the normal Demonic Clan. They are the group that didn't follow the way the other two clans went. This clan became it's own by no fault of there own. The magic they had was lost to them due to genetics. This group could do nothing to stop them losing the power that they had. This Clan have at least one of three distinguishing marks: horns, a tail or wings (either coming from there back or above there ears.)
The second most rare clan is the Cremals Clan. This clan is divided into various animal forms that these demons choose to take. The Cremal Clan at the beginning at a a magical power but it is different to a normal Demons power. They can take on the characteristics of any life form on the planet. There most favourite was animal, generally larger animals. But generations down the line they can only transform into one animal. When they are in there demon form they still have at least two characteristics of that animal. There are only a few animals that there can transform into. Lions, tigers, bears, sharks, dolphins, cats, leopards, dogs and other larger creatures. Some from this clan like to hunt there own kind. Some Cremals hunt and kill Ell Menters so that they can have there power over an element. Because Cremals are Demons like Ell Menters the the power they have from the skin on horns from the Ell Menters lasts longer than it does with humans, but it still doesn't last forever.
The most rare of all the five clan is the Ell Menters Clan. In the beginning all Demons were Ell Menters but the other clans have changed so much that they have became there own species. Ell Menters have more magical power than any other clan. The are divided into five elemental groups. Fire, water, wind, earth and lighting/electricity. For each element there is a colour that represents that element and this is also the colour of the Ell Menters hair, eyes and clan markings (look like tattoos all over the body). This is a clear distinction that they are Ell Menters. Over distinguishing marks are they have long pointed ears, horns and occasionally leathery wings that come from there back. The reason that this particular Clan of Demons is so low, is because they are spread out so far it is hard for a male and female of one element to mate, which is the only way a Ell Menter with the magical ability can be born. Another reason is that the other Clans and Humans have realised that they can have this power too, by cutting off the horns or some of the skin of the Ell Menters and attaching it to themselves they too can control that element. But the down side is that the power doesn't stay for longer than 24 hours. Which means the humans or Demons will go out and find another Ell Menter to kill just to get the power back. It is guessed that because of this there is only at least three of each elemental Demons left in the whole world.
