Ems looked over the edge of the cliff in quiet consideration, watching the fierce waves crashing on the rocks below. "Looks painful...", she said to herself, nodding in agreement to her own words before stepping back from the edge and looking at the large arching rocks she had just passed under. She gave a half-hearted smile and leaned against them lightly, watching as the others drew closer, her eyes focused on Tolitio swooping down gently, the girl sitting on his back. She wondered if Mizuki was actually enjoying the ride or if she was gonna feel ill from it.
Kana looked over at her sister, watching her fly, "You're doing really well Ursha, starting to get used to it or something?"
The Divine ran at them, swords drawn, eyes ablaze with fury. Necro glared at Saliri, annoyed at how little she was actually doing, while he was fending off the majority of charging Divine. All fourteen copies of himself, the maximum possible in the approaching light of first dawn - when the sun broke the horizon of the continent for the first half of the day until the second moon rose (yes, very weird time frame. split into 4 parts, first dawn, second moon, second dawn, first moon) - where they would have to hide in the darkness until second moon, when they'd have longer to fight and pursue. Necro would have to shift into a form which wouldn't be destroyed or damaged by the light. Saliri would have to take cover too, even her fleshy self was severely damaged by the light of day.
Tolitio made a very slight dip, gliding down towards the ground, doing his best to make his flight as smooth as possible for the young passenger on his back. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, and wasn't sure if she had ridden a dragon before. \The last thing he wanted was for her to fall, as landing back on a dragon's back hurts almost as much as falling to the ground. ~It's first dawn, we can rest at the point. Even if we do sleep through second moon the Divine wouldn't catch up.~ he said to Flame, almost happily. Though the point had a history as being the last bit of dry land many travellers had seen before being killed, dying from exhaustion or killing themselves either intentionally or by accidentally falling off the side of the steep cliff.

Ursha shrugged slightly and angled her wings, losing a little bit of concentration from the gesture. Although she quickly regained it she was still a little awkward in the air. "Perhaps, Kana. We'll see soon enough. ...I still think I should stick to fighting and not worry so much about my wings though."
~Sounds like a good prospect to me, love. I admit even I with my warrior's heart need a good rest every once in a while. Especially considering all the chaos as of late.~ Flame responded as she too angled softly toward the ground. While she did not have a passenger she was used to making her landings elegant, smooth, and graceful from years of doing so.

Kana smiled "Careful there Ursha, you don't want to go crashing from this high up.", she folded up her wings and went into a nose dive, opening her wings a few feet from the ground and tipping backwards accidentally, her tail flicking forwards and slamming into Ems, throwing her backwards and over the edge. Kana yelped at the feeling, not knowing what had actually happened until she landed roughly on her backside and opened her eyes to find herself sitting on the edge of the point, and no Ems within sight.
Tolitio hadn't noticed what had happened, his attention having been fully on a shadow forming nearby, laced with magic he knew to be Necro's.

Ursha screamed. She lost her concentration and nearly went spiralling herself, having to flap frantically to keep herself aloft. "Mom! Dad!" she called in a panic.
Snapping out of her relaxed state, Flame's pupils pricked to slits. She took a quick glance around and immediately her stomach seemed to drop. "...Oh no." ~Tolitio, we have a problem love. Kana and Ems.~

Kana peered over the edge fearfully, trying to see if Ems had gotten hold of something or landed on a rock platform of some kind, but to her distress there were no platforms and the rock was completely smooth all the way down into the deep water below, swirling with beasts native to the deadly sea. Ems wasn't within sight, the rock gashed with claw marks, blood running down where her claws had snapped, a few wisps of hair floating through the air. "EMS?!", she strained her hearing through the echoes for any hint of a reply, but there wasn't one. Kana opened her wings, planning to look further down as she glided.
Tolitio almost cursed, as he quickly became aware of the sitation. "Somebody has to check if she's managed to save herself...", he lifted Kana away from the edge, "But not you Kana, or Ursha... And we're too big to risk it... " and now he did curse, realising that if she had avoided the water, nobody could get down to help her without running the almost certainty of their own death.
Necro stepped from a shadow portal nearby, having let Saliri just walk for not helping, and looked around at everyone, his eyes glowing a deep blood red. Without asking, he knew what had happened immediately. "I'll go, if I die it doesn't make much difference and it's not like anybody would miss having me around, right?"

Flame muttered a curse in Dragonian under her breath, careful to keep her children from hearing. She only reacted when Necro stepped up. She blinked. "...I'd object but since none of us can assist otherwise, be my guest." ~But don't do anything stupid. Kana may have a rather bad reaction if you do.~ she added.

Necro silently nodded in acknowledgement to Flame's comment and walked towards the edge, he peered over, trying to figure out the most likely route Ems would have taken on her way down. A small smirk reached his lips for just a moment before a look of pure thought changed his face. Kana watched him, holding back tears of guilt as she thought to herself It's my fault she's down there... I was stupid... Trying to show off... It's my fault... she lowered her head in shame.
Tolitio flicked his tail nervously. He found it hard to think that Ems could be gone all over again. He didn't even notice Saliri walking up behind him and sitting on his tail. "What did I miss?", she asked, far more cheerful than the situation called for.

Seeing Kana's reaction, Flame's instincts took over. She stood and walked to her daughter, placing a large silver wing around her protectively. "It's alright my darling," she said softly to comfort the little dragoness. "Necro can handle himself. He will be safe. The important thing is Ems will be as well... she always has been in the past back in Xorth. Try not to blame yourself. Blame will only guilt your mind into taking drastic steps."
~I'm a tad busy with Kana, love. Do you mind filling Saliri in?~ Flame asked.

Tolitio mentally informed Saliri with images of what had happened, still too distracted to tell her vocally. He watched Necro plotting for a moment, slightly interested in the shadows he was melding into various shapes such as ladders and ropes. Necro settled on melding a cloud and stepped onto it, it floated just above the ground and lowered over the edge, taking him with it as it slowly descended, "I'll be back up soon.", he sounded encouraging, as though trying to stop them from worrying. Kana quietly nodded, "But... What if she's not okay? What if... what if she's....", her snout touched the ground.
Saliri watched with a bloodthirsty desire as Necro sank towards the violent waters below on his little dark cloud. The desire to see him fall into the waters and be torn apart apparent in her stare as she licked her lips.

Feeling her pain, Flame lowered her own head. She nuzzled the scales of Kana's neck, pulling her even closer to herself so her daughter was in the comforting shield of her love. "There is something we Dragons believe, darling. Worry will bring about the means to cause more bad events. You see obsessing over a bad event only ever brought about more bad things. So calm yourself. Necro will take care of it Kana."

Necro looked at the claw stuck in the rock wall as it shimmered a little, slowly vanishing, before he floated lower. After having checked all the way down he landed on a rock just next to the raging waters. He knelt down and quickly swiped his hand through it, gathering some in his palm before licking it. There was no hint of blood, at least not hers, and so it confirmed his suspicions that she had performed some kind of teleport or dimension door perhaps to get out of there before she hit the water. "It's just like you Ems, always full of surprises.", he laughed lightly and prepared a cloud to take him back up, the creatures thrashing about in the waters not noticing him.
"But what if I've killed her?", Kana blew about some dust under her snout.

Flame shook her head back and forth a few times. "No my dear. I doubt you could kill Ems. I've known her for many years by now. There is one thing for certain and that is that she always has a trick up her sleeve. If the many wars of Xorth never once caused her to meet her end, it is for certain you did not either Kana."

Necro stepped off the cloud onto the solid ground of the cliff with a smile, "She's not dead, but she's not down there either. My guess is that she opened a dimension door or teleported to safety. I checked the water, not been any blood in there for at least a week so she definitely didn't fall in. Everything's fine as far as I can tell.", he gently patted Kana on the top of the head on his way past, "No need to look so glum little dragon-child, you've not done anything wrong. If anything you've learned something, eh?"
Kana nodded, a little bit less gloomy now she heard Ems wasn't gone. Her mood lifted further when Necro patted her head as she knew he wasn't just saying Ems was fine to make her feel better. A tiny little flash of silver light passed between her scales and Necro's palm, but it can't have seemed to be significant in any way, because Necro didn't flinch and Kana didn't seem to notice it, but Saliri saw.
Tolitio cast Necro a warning glare while his nostrils flared a little. He wasn't happy with Necro being near his daughter, let alone touching her. He hadn't even noticed Saliri practically running at Necro and reaching for his wrist, but ending up with her arm held up her own back by Necro.

Flame released her daughter, lifting her wings and shaking herself out while stretching. At least Kana felt better now and to a mother like herself comforting was second-nature. She glanced to Tolitio, noting the nostril flare. He wasn't pleased at all at the moment but she'd speak to him about it later. Truthfully she didn't much like the idea of Kana being close to Necro either. Her eyes fell upon Kana and she frowned ever so slightly.
Things with her daughter had gone from odd to bad to worse lately. First came the odd exploding fire, the flash of light over her scales, the turning gold... then came shadow powers? Then came more and more mysteries. Was there no end to it? She very much doubted it. With her side of the family consisting very much of vampyre genetics and Tolitio's shrouded in gods-knew-what on top of more questions and apparently enough werewolf genetics to effect Ursha... things didn't seem like they would ever be any less confusing.
Ursha flashed a grin. "Well it's good to know she's alright... but Kana?" She bolted at her sister and flicked her with the tip of her tail before retreating. "You're it." A feeble attempt to improve Kana's mood but it might have worked.

There was a heated argument between Necro and Saliri in a strange language, similar to the sound of two cats fighting with all the rasping, hissing and growling which resulted in a full on fight. Saliri trying to get a look at Necro's palm, while Necro prevented her doing so.
Kana giggled and gently tackled Ursha before hopping back off, "Nope, you're it.", but the sound of Necro and Saliri fighting distracted her, and a slightly confused and worried face as it became more intense, "I wonder what that's about... They're really serious..."
Tolitio stuck a claw between the two, seperating them. They stood glaring at each other, with scratches and small cuts, their clear will to continue in their eyes. "Right, what are you fighting about?", Tolitio used his stern fatherly voice, demanding their respect and attention.
