"Perhaps we'll find out some day. For now we'd best focus on your recovery.", Dodend pulled a vial of dark liquid from his pocket, "Here, take this.", he placed it gently in Sandine's hand and pulled out another for himself. Both lightly sparkled within as Dodend drank his down. There was a small flash in his eyes as he plugged the vial up again and slid it back in to his pocket. He smiled at Sandine encouragingly, "You'll be back to your old self in no time."

She accepted the vial with caution. It wasn't that she didn't trust him, she'd simply developed a mild paranoia in her time alone. Sandine sniffed it and cringed. "Smells a little foul but I'll take your word for it." With that she tossed back her head and swallowed the vial's contents. A full body shudder followed from the taste of it. "Certainly not Elven food but hey, you're right. I think I feel a tad better."

"Well it's not really food for anyone.", he chuckled softly as he stretched a little, accidentally exposing a few new scars below his ribs and a thick bandage wrapped around his ribs, barely visible just above the scars as though he'd recently been in a few fights. Dodend hadn't noticed revealing this and continued speaking oblivious, "It's good seeing you again. Though the circumstances could have been... better..."

Sandine sighed. "I know it's not food, honestly Dodend sometimes I wonder about your ability to follow my logic." A smile crept across her lips and she planted a soft kiss on his forehead, stroking his hair. "You're forgiven though." She paused narrowed her eyes. She'd noticed the scars. "It's good seeing you too darling but mind telling me what you've been up to? I see a few more marks on you than I remember."

Dodend placed a gentle kiss on Sandine's cheek. "Oh, these?", he ran his fingers over the scars under his ribs, "A few targets getting a lucky hit from time to time.", he turned and lifted off his shirt, the edge of a large scar being revealed on his back, "Dragon.", about the bandages the only explanation he gave was, "Negotiations with a different dragon.". A small smile crept over his features as he sat back down, "Nothing to be concerned about though my dear.", his hand lightly ran through Sandine's hair, "So you don't need to have such a concerned look on your face, you'll wrinkle.", he chuckled.

A shocked look came over her face for a moment and then she relaxed, slipping into the part of her personality that was more cool and calculating. Best not to ruin herself. "Thank you for the reminder," she said as she shot him a small glare. Her eyes softened a second later and she leaned into his hand comfortably. A moment later she kissed her fingertips and touched one of the scars. "There. Kissed and all better."

Dodend laughed, "Ah my love, you're so easily wound up about the idea of wrinkles. You look as youthful and beautiful as when we first met, if not more so.", he kissed Sandine's cheek softly. "On the other hand I seem to gain new marks each year.", he looked at Sandine's fingers against a scar, "Thank you dear, feels better already."

She couldn't help but blush. "I am not 'wound up'. I just prefer to have my beauty stay as is. The last thing I need is to start showing my age!" Sandine removed her fingers from his scar and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "This ought to help too," she said with a wink.

Dodend half smirked, half chuckled before placing a kiss back on Sandine's lips, "Never in a million years do I think you would show your age my dear.", he ran a gentle hand over her cheek, "And, for the record, seeing you makes me feel better. A lot better.", a look of thought crossed his features. "Hmm I seem to be turning soft in my old age."

"You? Oh please, Old Man you have plenty of fight left in you," Sandine smirked. She settled comfortably and was quiet for a moment or two until she chuckled. "Or maybe not considering how many times I've saved your butt." She commented, poking him on the nose teasingly.

Dodend laughed heartily and wiped at a non-existant tear of laughter, "That? Coming from you? Oh dear.", he let out a little sigh as he caught his breath from laughing, "I believe I've saved that lovely butt of yours plenty of times too Youthful Beauty.", he lightly tickled Sandine's sides and smiled.

She kicked at the air, trying to suppress her laughter. It was easy being a badass until somebody tried to tickle you half to death. Honestly Sandine was sure she'd rather be fighting a huge guy with a sword instead. "Okay okay! I give!" she gasped, trying to get him to stop. "You win!" When he finally did she caught her breath and grinned. "So you've saved me too. We've been through a hell of a lot."

"Indeed, a Hell of a lot.", the pun sort of fit nicely, given their travels to see Spikes in the damned pit itself from time to time, not to mention the sheer number of times they found themselves in an intense fight to the death. A slight tug in the back of his mind reminded him of his business here, it was impatient, like his client. He shrugged it off, "If you feel up for it my dear, I think it would be an idea to find a quiet little place for dinner.", his eyes partially reflected the light from the streetlamps outside, their light blue glow gentle to all but the shadows. Time seemed to have passed swiftly, it having been near noon when Sandine had awoke.

She paused as if pondering it and then nodded. "Sounds fine to me. If nothing else the food will help settle my stomach a bit. Remind me to avoid paralyzing opponents for the rest of forever." Sandine tossed her head a little. "It's far too irritating to get over."

Dodend chuckled and patted Sandine on the head, "Well would be hard to avoid them if you're paralyzed by their attack.", he knew it would wind her up to no end but it was worth the likely punching and kicking he'd get.
