Necro gave a smirk at Arrow while Carter wasn't looking and a device appeared in his hand, "This is what you're referring to.", he spun it on a finger lazily ~Don't look so surprised Arrow, Carter is getting suspicious of your actions. ~

Well that deffinitely got rid of any ideas that he couldn't transport objects. Which also meant that Arrow had got talking to him. No wonder the pair were trying to avoid each other. Carter got to his feet again, holding out his hand for the object. "May I?" He prompted, while Arrow made faces behind his back at Necro. Not funny faces mind. Ones that would imply that she was telling Necro something along the lines of 'Get out of my f**king head," Or something like that. Besides Carter was always suspicious of her. It was good to give him these reality checks now and then to keep him vigilant or something. If he could torment her so easily, then surely it was oly fair to make him worry that his prize secret was about to snap on him or something. She did however, quit with the surprised look to put the mirror back in place - atleast once she stopped silently yelling at Necro.

Nasty side-effects to pushing buttons on this.", Necro stopped spinning the device and put it in Carter's hand, "That and it's very expensive.", not like he cared about money.

Carter took the device carefully, wiping a hand cleanly over it. "So how does it work?" He asked, since he wasn't planning on pushing the buttons anytime soon. His eyes slid up curiously at Necro in await of the answer. Arrow frowned. Could she do that back, she wondered. Her hands lingered on the mirror as she closed her eyes, before trying to reach out. You know reach out. She didn't even know how she did it, but when she got the sense of two beings in the room, she knew she'd figured it out. Getting on my nerves enough to figure it out for myself." She growled back at him. Now, did Carter know how to do that? |

Necro smiled, "You push the one with the snowflake design on it and make sure the laser points away from you before you let go of the button.", he explained ~Consider this as lesson one. Communicating secretly is always a good skill. Talking mentally with somebody else is very secret, but lesson two will take away some of the risks.~

He turned the object in his hands to locate the snowflake and nodded. "As long as it works then," He said, moving his fingers away from it. His eyes slid over it again, taking in other details with much interest, whilst seeming quite pre-occupied with his thoughts.
Arrow didn't bother responding for a while. It had been a lesson then- at least he had kept to his word. Can you read deeper than my words? She asked with much concern, trying to search deeper into Necro's mind for proof whether it was possible or not. Her eyes slid to Carter and she approached him. "Shall I take that?" She asked, knowing that it wasn't in character for her to not persist at him about omething or other- and she had been more opinionated than ever about this subject of locating Ems. |

Suddenly something blocked Arrow from moving further into his mind, like a large steel wall had formed in her way ~I can if I want to, but I don't want to. And you're experiencing a little bit of what is in lesson two. A mental block, to stop you from reading my mind like an open book with big print words. ~ "You're allowed to test it. It would be best to be sure it works before it's time to use it."

So you can do the same back? She asked, a note of panic rising in her voice. Her thoughts, even. Even still, she couldn't help but circumnavigate around Necro's blockade to find weaker points to push through- mostly to test her abilities. Real time, she took the device from Carter, glancing at Necro while she did it before hurrying into a back room again with it, all the time pushing and prodding away mentally. [/size] |

The barrier seemed to move and push Arrow's mind away from Necro's ~You don't have much of a chance of getting into my head without my permission Arrow, I've had a lot of practice. That and i'm being gentle.~ Necro watched as Arrow took the device from Carter away to another room, "Anything you're not sure with then Carter?"

Gentle. Arrow smiled as she walked away. If he meant by hurting her, he obviously didn't realise the pain she went through while transforming. "The blue button on the device I gave you is linked to this bit of metal. Push the blue button if you want to contact me and put in the earpeice when it is released form the device.", Necro indicated a bit of metal which hooked behind his ear. ~I could be very violent. Mental pain is worse than physical pain. So you know roughly what it is you're up against, try not to react to this little bit of pain. ~ there was a slight jolt from Necro's mind it felt like a hive had been rattled around and put into Arrow's mind where they relentlessly released their anger.

Carter nodded with understanding, remembering the button. "I think I have enough to work with now," He mused, placing his hands behind his neck in a stretch. "I'll pass on a location before and after we freeze her then," He said, pocketing the picture smoothly for future reference.
Arrow shut the door again behind her so she could concentrate on the voice in her head, since she'd found that talking to Carter at the same time had already strained her concentration. Hearing what he planned, she braced herself but what she felt was more of a numbness than what she was used to. Arrow laughed mentally while the feeling went through her mind. I think I might have a nack for this, She called to Necro, able to hide the device away while the feeling continued. [/size] |

~Really?~ there was a sharp feeling of an explosion which made vision blur and hearing dull ~Perhaps that's because you're used to high levels of pain from switching forms.~
"You might be interested to know that she might try to escape at all costs. The boost button is on the side, should freeze her faster than usual. It's red.", Necro leaned like there was a wall behind him, but there wasn't he just leaned on the air.

There was a thud from the next room and Carter snapped his head around. Arrow picked herself up from the ground in darkness as his vision came back. She pulled herself onto the bed in the middle of the room and rubbed her eyes vaguely. She'd felt that one, but it had been like an electric shock- it had come, and when she felt it, she had quickly become used to it. Maybe, She grunted back at him, feeling the beginning of a headache as she responded. She wasn't even going to try and respond a pain back.
"I'll trust that you'll arrive as soon as possible then, since against magic, or anything of the sort, we'll won't aren't to be relied upon," Carter said. "Death is not my first priority, and I am doubting normal methods won't work on her to withhold her." [/size] |

~I'll teach you how to defend yourself, but for now, you might want to get rid of that headache. I'll help you a bit shall I?~ there was a sensation as the pain faded, like it was being sucked out ~Mental abilities can be used for good or evil, I'd advise learning both.~
"There's always a bit of me somewhere nearby.", he rubbed his head slightly but it wasn't strange. Like he just felt like rubbing his head for a moment, "Just try and not let her bite you or anything and you'll be fine."
